Each of us are unique.
People can shift and sometimes shape our perception, helping us see parts of ourself. Can it ever be challenging sometimes to LOOK at ourself!
Do you feel me?
There are days where I don’t want to be so conscious.
Do you ever spend time thinking:
‘If I could just get to where ‘she’ is, then I will be happy?’
Does your mind ever trick you into thinking:
‘If I saw the world from his eyes, then this wouldn’t be so hard?’
Have you experienced comparing yourself to someone else you look up to, while down playing your own efforts or putting yourself down?
It’s NOT FAIR to do this to yourself.
It’s also UNFAIR to the person you are comparing yourself to.
We all have our own struggles, pains and challenges.
We may just not be aware of those background details.
Have we been conditioned to compare to experience our worth?
Have we learned to push towards an 'ideal’ state of doing, to feel successful?
I’ve read recent posts that shared, 'that a flower doesn’t compare itself to the flower beside it, it just grows itself'. Just as a turtle doesn’t try to be a monkey, it trusts it’s own instincts, pace and rhythms. While the monkey isn’t investing all it’s time on the ground, it’s climbing and socializing as monkeys do.
So why do we get caught in the trap of comparing?
Spending time searching outside of ourselves for approval, belonging or trust, can feel like running a never ending race. Feelings can be quite overwhelming as well.
I’ve invested 20 years + into self healing/education to better understand myself cognitively, emotionally and energetically. Through going into myself for clarity, answers and trust, it’s built a foundation that helps me navigate the many triggers and choices I’m faced with daily.
It’s helped me develop an understanding of where I get caught in the traps of illusion or comparing. To then rebalance back into ‘BEING’ myself and choosing from there.
My state of being will be very different from someone whose studied something different like finance or whose chosen to invest their energy into something different.
There is nothing to compare of judge, we can choose to see our own self through our experiences.
Abraham Hicks, (channeled consciousness through Esther Hicks) offers many ways to look at each challenge, situation or dilemma you may be facing.
One that I connected to recently, inspired this post.
"Wherever you are, is just fine…You can get to wherever you want to be from wherever you are… It’s time to stop measuring where you are in relationship to where anybody else is. The only factor that has anything to do with you is where you are in relationship with where you want to be."
People in our life can help us see what we don’t desire, through contrast.
Others can help mirror back to us what we may not see clearly within ourself.
When we are bothered by someone’s attitude or behaviour, take the opportunity to look into yourself. What is being offered to help you better know yourself and what you truly desire.
It’s WITHIN you that counts the most.
At the end of your life, will you be remembered as anyone but yourself?
BE YOU! Invest, learn, have courage and live!!!!!!!
